Inspired by a mushroom trip in Joshua Tree Louis took with fellow musicians and collaborators Emile Martinez & Greg Paul from Katalyst in Los Angeles; Louis says “We took a trip into the desert and took shrooms together in nature. It was one of the most connecting, beautiful and crazy experiences of my life fam. The landscape in Joshua Tree is already alien, especially for a Londoner! Somewhere ancient peoples have been using plant medicine for millennia. Please believe the rock next to me I was sitting next to opened up into a swirling bottle with geometric, Aztec like shapes and spoke to me in a woman’s voice. I dunno why but I knew man was talking to mother nature and she said, my G, while you’re alive you better help save this planet. Use your life to defend life… this inspired Vibrate which then in turn led to the whole concept of the album”
